PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

The principal activities of Kejora Harta Bhd ( KHB ) are that of property development, dealing in land and investment holding. KHB presently owns 1,241 acres of freehold development land in Mukim Sungai Petani, District of Kuala Muda, Kedah Darul Aman located at the northern region of Malaysia. KHB commenced operations as a property developer in December, 1994.

KHB’s main project is the development of the 1,241 acres of Development Land, which forms an integral part of Amanjaya, Kedah Darul Aman.
 

THE PROJECT OF AMANJAYA

The proposed development of the 1,241 acres of Development Land forms an integral part of the overall proposed development of Amanjaya which in total covers an area of approximately 7,500 acres. The development of Amanjaya is being jointly undertaken by Ideal Appraisal Sdn Bhd ( IASB ) and KHB.
 

LOCATION

The development site of Amanjaya is approximately 3km to 4km Northeast of Sungai Petani town. It is situated between Taman Ria in Sungai Petani and the town of Sungai Lalang in the North, with Bukit Selambau on its eastern flanks. The North-South Expressway cuts through the development site, providing direct access to Penang and Thailand.
 

OVERVIEW OF AMANJAYA

Amanjaya is conceptualized as a fully integrated township and it represents one of the biggest planned new property development in Malaysia. Targeted to contain a population of 500,000 people by year 2015, the township will include several land use components such as an urban center, residential neighborhoods, industrial parks, recreational zones and facilities, communication links plus utilities and infrastructure development .

Under the ambitious urban center concept, there will be Government Administration Precinct, District Government Hospital, Court House, Private Colleges, Sports and Recreational Precinct, Town Square, Boulevard and more. In line with the aggressive industrialization process, the conceptualized integrated export zone consists major industrial mix development like gazzetted Free Industrial Zone and Industrial Park spread out over 2,200 acres.

Amanjaya is a direct result of the government’s desire, both at Federal and State levels, to develop the northern region of Malaysia. In this respect, the proposed development of Amanjaya received Federal and State Government’s commitment and support to ensure the success of Amanjaya. The main Urban Centre zone, which covers approximately 1,438 acres, will be the focus point of Amanjaya.

The key components of the Urban Centre will be comprised of a new District Hospital, Court House, Custom Department, Federal Government Department under Jabatan Pedana Menteri.
